Travel Grant
The international nature of the BCIT Projects has a component dealing with collection of health data and health education that has obtained a first travel grant from the Canadian International Development Agency CIDA.
The results of a workshop held in Sao Paulo, Brazil led the parties to define a sub-set of the UN Millenium Development Goals MDG as focus for initial collaborative work. As well, communities deep into the Amazon region have been selected for further developments in topics that range from women empowerment to appropriation and management of health information.
